Maintenance fitters for shut down work
We require the services of 5-7 fitters for shut down work in October for 3-4 weeks, the plant is in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. We will also require you for 3 days prior to this for inductions and training.
The responsibilities will include
- Conduct PM’s and repair work on fixed plant.
- Work inside tanks checking for leaks, replacing elastomers, agitator inspection & PM’s
- Machine dismantling / refurbishment.
- Repairs & PM’s on pumps and valves including elastomer replacement and re torquing valves.
- MMS data entry on SAP.
- Start up / trouble shoot / diagnostics
- Able to read drawings and work with minimum supervision and work safely
- Some fabrication work
The person we are looking for must
- Be Qualified mechanical fitter cert 111 or indentured
- Have industrial working experience
- Experience in the food industry will be a distinct advantage
- Confined space trained (course date less than 2 years), EWP / Forklift licence
- Have basic welding skills MIG / TIG.
- Be able to work continuously for 10-hour days Monday to Sunday for the entire period.
- Able to take direction and work in a team
- Provide hand tools and basic PPE
