Forklift Labourer

We are seeking a truck wash / forklift / labourer to work in a recycling plant as in the Altona area.

On the job training in all aspects of job / related safety / stores procedure will be provided. This will ideally suit someone who is looking to work full time with the prospect of becoming a mobile construction plant operator.

  Key tasks
  
• Pressure wash the trucks.
  
• Forklift driving predominantly outside
  
• Wheelbarrow and general labouring duties in wet and dry soil.
  
• Keeping the area tidy and safe
  
• Receiving deliveries including IBC’s and putting them away in the store
  
• Shovelling, moving sludge
  
• Labouring duties including chook pecking
  
• General housekeeping
  
  About you:
  
  · Similar experience in labouring & forklift role.
  
  · Physically fit and able to be on your feet most of the day.
  
  · Current forklift licence.
  
  · Knowledge and experience in the use of hand and power tools and OHS conscious.
  
  · Good communication skills.
  
  . Hold a current Driver's License with own reliable transport.
  
  · Own PPE - hard hat/ hi viz long sleeve shirt / long pants / steel cap boots.
  
  -20% of the time you will be wearing breathing apparatus, Tyvek suit, gumboots which will be provided to you onsite.
