Switchboard / LV Panel Builder

Our client is a southeast Melbourne based switchboard builder.

They manufacture electrical switchboards including Electrical Distribution & Pillars, MSB’s, MCC’s, PLC, Metering & Design.

Your work location will be in Pakenham for Immediate start.

This is a Permanent full-time | Monday–Friday role, with paid OT when required.



The Role

• Assemble and wire small to large electrical switchboards and control panels according to specifications and technical drawings.
• Install and connect electrical components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and relays.
• Wiring of Motor Control Centres, PLC Panels, Distributions Boards and Control Panels
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of switchboards to ensure proper operation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing all tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter or similar role workshop-based role.
• Cert III in Electrical Fitting qualification (UEE33020 or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
• Busbar fabrication will be an added benefit
• Experience with PLC wiring, remote telemetry, or automation systems is advantageous
• Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of all current switchboard Australian standards
